Blizzard has announced the return of the Overwatch World Cup in 2023, after a three-year hiatus. The previous champions, the United States, will be competing against new participants from the Asia-Pacific region, including India, which has been placed in Group B.
In addition to India, the nations of Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Thailand will also participate in the competition. The Overwatch World Cup will consist of three conferences, each with two groups of six nations and areas, selected based on Overwatch 2 demographic data.
The World Cup Trials will take place over three weekends in February, followed by additional team tryouts in March and the final selection of a seven-player team in April. The Overwatch World Cup 2023 promises to be a highly competitive and exciting event, as the participants strive to become the next champion.
