The esports world is buzzing with rostermania as teams waste no time making strategic moves even before the winter break. One team making waves in the player market is the Saudi Falcons, who have already secured the talents of Danny “zonic” Sørensen and Emil “Magisk” Reif, along with former Vitality Head of Performance, Lars Robl.
The Saudi Falcons had their sights set on G2’s Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, but the team’s General Manager, Petar “peca” Marković, clarified their stance in an interview with HLTV.
When asked about the rumors surrounding Ilya “m0NESY,” peca stated, “We are not considering offers for m0NESY. We are not looking to sell him at any price since we are not in need. That’s what we already told the teams that asked us about him.”
Regarding NiKo, G2 didn’t issue a direct statement, but peca’s comments took a different tone. He praised NiKo, saying, “NiKo is one of the greatest players who has ever touched the game we love and live, and it would be extremely difficult to replace him 1 to 1.”
Insider sources, who wish to remain anonymous to protect relationships, have revealed that discussions about NiKo potentially joining the Saudi Falcons are ongoing, although no formal agreement has been reached as of yet. The esports community eagerly awaits further developments in this high-stakes roster shuffle.
