The Falcons esports team has made a major announcement, reshuffling their roster by benching notable players such as Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt, Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro, Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea, and Miłosz “mhL” Knasiak. With their sights set on high-profile signings, the Saudi organization is preparing for a new chapter in their competitive journey, leaving only Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas to navigate the roster rebuild.
In addition to these player changes, the Falcons have been actively strengthening their coaching staff. Danny “zonic” Sørensen has taken the helm as the head coach, and the imminent additions of Emil “Magisk” Reif and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač promise to further bolster the team’s ranks. Reports also suggest that Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer is in the pipeline, having reached a verbal agreement with the organization. While Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov’s name has circulated in connection with the Falcons, G2 has publicly clarified that they are not looking to part ways with their promising young AWPer.
Of the benched quartet, NBK- had the longest-standing tenure, having joined the organization in September 2022 during the first rebuild. Bodyy followed shortly after when Falcons underwent another roster overhaul.
The Falcons faced disappointment as they failed to secure a spot at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, prompting yet another rebuild, this time transitioning to an English-speaking roster. In June, lauNX, mhL, and BOROS came on board, but this revamped roster endured for just four months before the organization decided to make way for their highly anticipated superstar lineup.
