The Falcons have made some big moves in the esports scene by officially introducing two major additions to their lineup. Coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen and sports psychologist Lars Robl have joined the team, bringing with them a wealth of experience and success, most notably during their time with Vitality, where they secured the prestigious BLAST.tv Paris Major.
Zonic, who had been an integral part of the French organization since the beginning of 2022, is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in the world of CS:GO, if not the absolute best. He boasts an impressive track record, having led Astralis to four Major titles before clinching the fifth Major trophy with Vitality.
While the official announcement was somewhat expected, it signifies the beginning of a new chapter for the Falcons. The Saudi organization has been making waves in the esports world, and the addition of Vitality rifler Emil “Magisk” Reif is on the horizon. Negotiations are also in progress as they aim to assemble a formidable superteam heading into 2024.
The news of these signings comes hot on the heels of the departure of Falcons’ former coach, Steeve “Ozstrik3r” Flavigni, who had been with the team for nearly two years.
Expressing his excitement for the future, zonic tweeted, “On to my next challenge. Super proud to begin this new chapter in Falcons with Lars Robl. The ambitions are sky high! Can’t wait to get started.”
With these new additions and a clear vision for success, the Falcons are gearing up for an exciting journey in the world of esports.
